To further explain my situation... (LONG)

Very Long
Cliff Note: I'M F U C K E D

Ok, so I haven't been on in a couple days because of my internet being down and all the drama that has been going on in my life right now but I just thought I would give you a guys a little update on what's going on.

So most of you have saw my post about wrecking my car. Here is the story, I was on the way home one night around midnight from friends house, no drinking or anything illegal was consumed or anything like that. So anyways, this friend lives quite a ways out in the sticks in the of my area and deer are a big problem down there seeing has his girlfriend and he had been in a wreck because of deer in the past 2 months. But I was coming up on a turn at an old abandoned mill near a what used to be a big creek and I was about to take my foot off the gas and get on the brake for the turn. As soon as I thought about braking a deer decided to run out from behind the mill and across the road so instinctively I slammed on the brakes and jerked the wheel missing the deer. This caused me to loose control in some gravel and slide directly into the railing of the bridge that went across what used to be the big stream or creek.

My car ended up hanging off the bridge with only 1 wheel holding it to the bridge and the railing that was penetrating my front clip holding it up too. It was so close that my car was literally teeter tottering on the bridge and I had to SLOWLY get out of the car hoping it wouldn't roll of the bridge and into the 10 foot drop off into the small stream. Like no joke, this like the **** you see in the movies when people have to crawl out of the vehicle because it's about to fall down a cliff or something. So I finally got out of the car and somehow my car didn't fall once I was out. First thing I tried to do was to call my friend who's mom is the dispacher for the local police department and he is also the one whose house I had just left. I was in just a wooded area that I couldn't get barely any signal and I had to stand in one spot. Finally got ahold of him and him and his girlfriend rushed to wear I was at while he called his mom and got the local deputy to show up on the scene.

So he gets there and gets everything going with police and his mom says that a local deputy and a state trooper are on the way. First thing that comes out of my mouth is "Oh great, a state trooper. They are really going to pin this on me now." Eventually the deputy shows up and turns out to be a guy I knew and he called in and told the dispatcher to tell the state trooper that he was not needed and he could handle it. State trooper replies back and says "I'm only 20 miles away, I'll be there in a couple minutes." This is where it starts to turn into bull****; the deputy and I talk about what happened and the usual and then the state trooper shows up and he pulls the deputy to the side while my parents arrive on the scene.

The trooper and the deputy pull out their flash lights and start their little investigation and blah blah while I'm having a big ole fight with my mom. They come back and the trooper leaves. I get pulled to the side by the deputy and he says that he has to give me a ticket because I hit VDOT (Virginia Department of Transportation) property but he said he would try to help me out in court as much as he could. The ticket is for "Failure to Maintain Control."

Ok, so now here comes the insurance drama. We call the insurance company (Nationwide) they tell us that with all my current pending stuff and now this added that in January I had to go on my own account and I would be under "Restricted Insurance" paying probably over $300 a month for full coverage. So far we have come to the conclusion that we are not going to file the claim and that I'm just going to have to fix the car myself out of my own wallet. I've been doing some needed research on the parts that I will and it's going to cost somewhere inbetween $2500 and $3000 with a gestimate on labor included seeing as I've some mild hookups on stuff. That price is considering that the front clip frame rail isn't bent.

The Trans Am has to be gone by the 8th of August whether it be someone buying it or me trading it in to the stealership where I bought my GTI. I'm starting college in late August and I'm going to stressed for mula seeing as how I won't be able to work as much as I would like to.

Oh and on top of all of this my grandfather is in the hospital now and has to go to a retirement home soon and my family is ****ing riding my ass because I'm talking to a 15 year old who I really do TRUELY like and like being around.

So I guess I'll just make a small cliff note saying: I'M F U C K E D

I cant believe you got a ticket! failure to maintain control....BS.

It's the deers fault not yours.

misfortune comes in waves, so you will be fine in the end.

well if this makes you feel any better....when I was 18 I had a 1989 honda civic to drive. not a Stang or a VW.

hence the sarcasm. some people are just more fortunate that others, why that is such a hard concept to grasp? thats beyond me. a kid i know (aquaintence, sp?) has a 2004 mercedes sl55 (or something like that). he gets more **** than the ugliest, fattest, nerdiest, gayest kid at my school (not me, dickheads) JUST because his dad is loaded, and can pay for nice things for his child(ren). somebody will always be richer/luckier/faster/whatever. i dont see the point of complaining about it (not directed toward you zigzagg, just a small rant inspired by your comment ;))

Rabbit 07-31-2006 06:57 AM

Damn dude that sucks! Well, atleast you got over $100 off me so far. Hell, I'll see what else I need from ya off your stang!

Glad you're allright though!

04DarkShadowGT 07-31-2006 07:14 AM

Sorry about the car and your grandpa, but dude a 15 year old? You going to be in college dating a high school sophomore.

shad0ws 07-31-2006 12:33 PM

Welp, went to take a look at the car in the daylight for the first time. Transmission has a crack in it and I have to file it to insurance. So anyways, we had a talk with the insurance company and my insurance is going to be OVER $500 a month and I'm pretty much forced to have the insurance company fix my car and then immediately sell it. So pretty much like said before I'm ****ed and my search for a mk2 Jetta or GTI must now begin.

Badfish 07-31-2006 12:55 PM

$500/month? DOH! dont sell the existing GTI, fix it

smg32208 07-31-2006 01:09 PM

4.6 Love 07-31-2006 01:52 PM

That sucks dude!

FalloutGod 08-01-2006 12:32 AM

DO NOT do anything with the 15 year old. At anypoint in time the parents can and have in the past pulled 360's and sued the person 18 or over. Its just ugly man. As for the family stressin on you don't sweat it. Your legally an adult and as an adult you have the right to screw your life over as you see fit =D Not saying you will just that you have the right now.

2K1TBGT 08-01-2006 01:00 AM

don't believe the 500/ mo horse****

a week after i got my car(june '04), i got into a wreck, not near as bad as yours(fender, bumper, headlight, light damage to the other car) my insurance(i believe it was state farm) tried to up my rate to 490/ mo mainly because i was only 16...my mom called geico got a quote from geico for 230/ mo, we've been with geico ever since
230 sux but thas what i get for bein 16-18 with an 01 gt...it's life, o well
