15% or 20% Tint?

I know tint questions are brought up a lot but I want to get tint sometime this week. Is there a big difference between 15% and 20%? I got a price of $150 to do it.

look at the local law....if u want either of those 2 ...get the 20%...the darker the tint..the more the fine (if u get pulled over)

The law states :
Front Side Windows Must allow more than 35% of light in.
Back Side Windows Must allow more than 35% of light in.
Rear Window Must allow more than 35% of light in

DAMN!!Those laws are horrible!!

PureStang 07-24-2006 05:30 PM

then go w/ 35%...it will look better than stock..but it will look like it CAME from the factory like that....

i think it will look just right

jstn0127 07-24-2006 05:54 PM

Lances tint looks good...Is that 15%?. I went with legal tint on my last car and I thought that was too light. I may go with 20%.

stang00 07-24-2006 05:59 PM

i followed the law up here i would get wut it says to in ny 35% on the front 2 and 15% on the back 2 thats the law hear man and it looks rele good on my car

04DarkShadowGT 07-24-2006 07:52 PM

Your car is black so even a higher % will still look dark and sweet. I had 35 on my old stang and it was good. I had 20% on my sentra.

I have 20% all the way around. I was going to go with the laws, but when he showed me the difference between the tints, 20% was the best. I just didn't know if it was worth paying for it otherwise.

Damn that sucks, florida's:

Windshield Non-reflective tint is allowed along the top of the windshield above the manufacturer's AS-1 line.
Front Side Windows Must allow more than 28% of light in.
Back Side Windows Must allow more than 15% of light in.
Rear Window Must allow more than 15% of light in.

Our numbers are kinda weird..they should have made the minimum's all the same..oh well. I was thinking 20%ish all around..

95STANG 07-25-2006 01:31 PM

Rear Windows= any %
All others= none

Im going to go 20% all the way around.
