The plugs you buy will be water proof...

TClark22 07-23-2006 10:33 PM

Actually I had a buddy that just got a small square of similar colored Vinyl from a lettering/graphics shop to cover his, it was pretty smooth looking and did the job pretty good. Most places should have a SIMILAR colored silver vinyl. Just my $.02...

TClark22 07-23-2006 10:39 PM

o and where to buy touch up paint?

just go to a ford dealer and ask?

Dealership should have some, that's where I got mine. If you know the color code, sometimes walmart will have it too.

TClark22 07-23-2006 10:50 PM

anyone know the size to get for the plugs?

SpinMedia 07-24-2006 12:47 AM

dude dont bust that mission, i had plugs on mines and didn't like them, my buddy put clear shipping style tape over his holes and looked badass, worked perfect.

thats the dumbest thing i have ever heard...i will never put tape on my car

and thanks DSDADDY...finally an answer

SpinMedia 07-24-2006 11:07 AM

how is it stupid?, its better then having giant plugs coming out of your truck. you cut cut small pieces to go over the holes. better then buying stupid plugs and painting them. your loss

TClark22 07-24-2006 11:23 AM

haha...ya and have to redo the little tape everytime it rains or somethin that will make it peel off...

and u still have the holes to look at

i dont want to look at the holes...which is why i will get the plugs at lowes and touch up paint from my ford dealer

and im not at loss on anything...using clear packing tape on a cars exterior is not something i would do

mustangvsix 07-24-2006 01:53 PM

my friend filled his holes with silicon. I haven't seen it yet, but seems like a good idea if you just get it in clear, then paint over it with touch up paint.

I'd have to disagree. I bought the plugs, sanded 'em down as thin as I could and painted 'em. This is a pic from the first time I did it. Can you see "giant plugs"? I can't. :beerchug:

TClark22 07-24-2006 10:36 PM

see now that looks fine...i wouldnt fill them in i just want a temperary thing like dsdaddy did...are u still wingless?

Yep...wingless again. :beerchug:

tennstang 07-25-2006 07:41 PM

Very well done. Do you have a close up pic of the filled holes?
