Finally got my Mustang back
Well a few weeks ago I posted that I was tired of my Mustang. You guys said get a daily driver and I will appreciate it more. Well I have kinda had a daily driver for about 6 yrs but just NEVER drive it. It is one of my parents cars that gets driven about once every 6 months.
Well I had to get my hood wet sanded and repolished and my trunk repainted. The hood got really dull compared to the rest of the car, and the spoiler holes I had filled were starting to show, the area where the 3rd brake light was starting to show, and I had small spots that were forming under the paint. They painted the trunk before the body work had cured and after time it started to show. Anyway I dropped it off Monday morning and got it back today (Friday) DAMN I missed it and am so glad to have it back and appreciate it. I have been driving a Miata all week haha. Not the most manly car to drive but I saved a hell of a lot of money on gas.
I LOVE MY CAR AGAIN!

I have used them for years and never had a problem. They painted my truck two different times and it was perfect each time. I don't know what the hell happened with the car. The whole car is perfect except for the trunk and hood. They hook me up on the price. When I had them paint my truck the first time, it was $2600. When it came time to paint my car, they did it for $1800. I am/was aggrevated but I can't complain a whole lot since they hook me up and fix it for free (obviously) I am wondering since the hood and trunk are fiberglass, that maybe that has something to do with it? They told me Monday the car would be ready Wed. I called Wednesday and he told me Thursday because they wanted to make sure everything cured ok before they wetsand and polish. Thursday they said the wanted to keep it until Friday because it was still tacky which I assume is because of the outrageous humidity here. Anyway Friday it was ready so I am hoping they took all precautions this time so they don't have to see it again anytime soon. And I am sure the painter was reemed a new one.

Im having the same issue down here, shop tells me that with the high humidity he cant paint parts so thats why its taking a while. I had a similar issue once with my truck. It was my friends brothers body shop. He painted the rear wing for stang and looked good, when I took my truck to paint front and rear bumpers it looked like crap. I had to take it back and the problem is that I cant get pissed or anything since Im very good friends with his brother. The way I see it he just lost thousands of dollars of business as I have to paint both cars. Its very hard to find a good body shop. My main problem is that I cant have a perfect concours paint job done as the roads in S Florida will destroy it with all the construction going on plus I want to have fun with it and not have to worry messing up a 7k paint job. Id rather save that money for a SC but hopefully when I attend the local car club meetings I can find a shop that does good work.
