Question about Car Shows...
Have you ever entered your car in a car show knowing that you have small deformations? I mean like rock chips, paint flaws, or even Hood alignment issues. Should you wait until your car is perfect before entering a show?
|
Go ahead and do it. My car was freshly painted but I used to show my old truck and it wasn't perfect. A lot of times the judges don't look for every paint chip. They often look at how clean the car is and any ideas that are different and unique. Go for it and have a good time. It's not always about winning, but the good feeling of having people come up and talk to you about your car :)

i think your fine. now if you have (like i do) huge ass dents on a doo, or a cracked bumper..then nah...but with chips, paint flaws, and hood alignment issues...i think youll be good

I am not the car show type but lately i have got quite a few invites.

my buddy had a tibby with 3 ton paint job and a CF hood.. somebody keyed it really bad. i mean they keyed every spoke on all his wheels, keyed big X's on his fenders, keyed every body part in every color expect on the hood and the hatch :( he entered it in a carshow like that and put a note about how some people are immature lol

Hell yes you should go. IMO, were I a judge, I wouldnt pick the cars that are NEVER driven. Thats gay. Cars are meant to be driven, and yours just hands down kicks ass.
|
Depends on what type of car show your entering. If its locally they'll notice the imperfections if there good judges but they will look them off. Now at a bigger show. They will be able to see every wave down the side of your car. They will look at orange peel. They will check out every detail of the paint. Fit and finish is the key to any car show. Your hood cant be that awful bad though right?

It doesnt matter. Last weekend a guy had a 2001 mustang V6 completely stock at our car show.
|
Id also like to mention alot of local car shows with awards the cars taht enter vote for the top 15-25. It depends how many trophies they have and how big the show is. Ive only been to about 3 judged car shows out of a whole line up.
