what would you do?
So I let my buddy from work drive my GT today. He is a good driver and had never driven a "current" mustang. So I just installed my MGW shifter and the $60 GT Race **** on Friday. He comes back from the drive and all seems well...no heavy clutch smell or anything. I get in my car later and the sun hits the chrome on the ring around the "GT" emblem on the ****. something catches my eye...a blemish in the chrome...I take a close look and there is a 3mm section of the chrome ring that is scratched and gouged pretty badly. I KNOW it wasnt like this before he drove it, and he wears a big class ring on his right hand. I never wear anything on my hands/wrists. Never have. What do I do?

For the future, don't let anyone drive your car unles you REALLY trust them...
Other then me... only 3 other people have drivin my car in the time I owned it...
1. My father, great driver (retired trooper)
2. My best friend from home, (I've witnessed his driving)
3. My REALLY good friend from school (I've witnessed his driving)
By wirnessed... They did something when they were driving that 99% of people wouldn't have in the same senario...
what i'm tryin to say is this... don't let any1 drive your car... and trust has to be earned...

I would bring it up to him that after you returned home you notice the scratch and since you dont wear a ring it may of been his class ring. A good friend will ofter to replace it or feel real bad and ask what do you want to do. If he does I suggest you tell him no its ok as he didnt mean to as friends like him are hard to come by. No use losing a friend over $60.

I'm sure you could polish it out though
