holy hell...I BEAT A WS.6
 

now...this may seem hard to beleive...but I swear on my future cobra this is how it went down last night.

I'm with a buddy in my car cruisin down to get some food. There's a lone bright fire engine red WS.6 sitting at a stoplight...I keep tellin my self, "no way, he will rape me, I'm not racing." Well I pull up next to him, and he yells "I like your rims" and i respond "thanks dude, you have a sweet ass car yourself".then he yelled back: "thanks man, clean car"....I respond "yeah, but its ****in SLLLOOWWW, and I mean slow...I'm even gettin a cobra because i'm sick of being so slow" he laughs and we both kinda look at the light...by them im like "**** it, I might as well race him for fun"

when it turns green we both pull out of the light slowly.. waiting for somone to punch it, so I did. as soon as I did, I saw his front end lift and expect him to fly pass me. Never happened, I shifted in second HARD and the tires went mad, same thign hapened into third. he NEVER got in front of me...I raced through fourth gear and stayed in front the whole time...I beat him by about half a car to one car length.

I have to say...best afternoon of my life...I beat a freakin ws.6!!!

now..how in the HELL did this happen, lol? I think he was stock (?) he had stock exhuast tips even...

so with my mods:
- K&N FIPK CAI
- MGW Short Throw Shifter (blue handle)
- 4.10 Gears
- SLP O/R X-pipe
- Flowmaster Super 40's
- Ford Racing C-Springs
- DiabloSport Predator Tuned

Well, you dont have headers, so you dont have numbers like christie(before her cams) so I'd say you're around 260 rwhp(give or take) which equals out to around 310 bhp. I also looked up and saw the ws6's weigh around 3500 lbs, plus driver, so youre lookin at a 3700 lb car. The mustangs' around 3300, but you said you had a buddy with you, so it was also about 3700 at time of the race. stock ws6's are 325 hp/350 tq, and 6 spd, but i dunno the ratio.

consensus...he either missed a gear, had horrible traction, or just sucks at driving. Sorry but that night, with those factors, with equal drivers, he'd beat you all night.

and rember I have gears

in that case, he had an extra maybe 200 lb so 3700 vs 3900, he has roughly 20 more crank hp and probably les aggressive gearing(i know 03 cobra's 6spd has 3.55's). There's a possibility you could beat him in that case. BTW, was it a convertible? those wigh about 100 more than hardtop

With all "factors" involved....who gives two ****s. You beat a ws6, which is damn good.

Heavy ass stock ws6 with 325 bhp vs a little less heave bolt on mustang with about 300 bhp and agressive gears

hell yeah...specially after this recent losing streak I've been on...then again I always pic on faster cars

he should. no doubt there are slow ricers who race GT's and the GT person has extra weight or missed a gear and they rave on their forums that they beat a GT. Badfish is just covering his bases makin sure he legitimately beat the car. nothin wrong w/ that

I was just saying that when someone tells everyone about a win they had racing. Everyone else always throws those "factors" into it. The winner doesn't give two ****s about factors. A win is a win regardless....

you all think LS1 are god dont you? I belive it badfish. like i said in a post before i beat a lightly moded one with nothing more then h-pipe, mufflers,intake,drag radials. Its very possible if your a good driver. The ls1 when stock isnt all to awsome in my book.

id rather beat someone cause i was a better driver than them then beat them because my car was just too fast... good kill:beerchug:

I beat an LS1 Camaro SS in my Mustang when I had it. Both cars had a driver and passenger. His car was bonestock also while I had all the mods I had...

agreed. I'm a mustang driver and a fan but I'm not a "everything else sucks" kinda person. the WS6 with those huge nostrils on the hood is one sexy beast
