Those pesky spraying LS1s!

Yah, I got owned by two of them tonight @ the track. Maaaan they are soooo freaking cheap!

I figured I'll gave my auto it's last couple runs @ the track before the 6-speed goes in. This time I have DRs, thinking it'd make a difference. It didn't. Best run of the night was 12.9 @ 110. Wtf, I done better on street tires???

Anyways, for those of you guys who've yet to get blown - when you do, don't automatically assume you can go LS1 hunting left and right. All it takes is some spray to get them spanking you again.

After the t56 install, I'll start saving up for a shortblock, cams, and MY OWN CHEAP @SS nitrous kit. I'll fight fire with fire! :shifty:

If I was driving your car I could've beat them. Do you need me to come back down to JawJa? :poke:

First red z28, maybe. It's a low 12 sec car. Second car, an 02 silver SS, no way. That runs low 11s! :surrender

I'm as puzzled as anyone. I have no idea what's the deal. EVERYONE with my setup or similar #s have run lower ETs and trapped higher. Even the ppl @ the track are surprised I'm barely running 12s.

The 4.10s certainly isn't helping since I do run out of RPMs before the end of the 1/4 run. But I still think the busted stock auto trans is the weakest link.
