Proposed deal from a close friend..

ok my buddy called me last night witha proposal for me, a guy wants to buy his mustang, it's an '02 gt with work done. Well the kid said he wanted his car stock tho...so the offer is to take my stock parts and swap him for all of his parts to make his look like a bone stock black GT, just with gold stripes. heres a list of all the parts from his car: Cobra R hood, Cobra R wing/trunk, Cobra big brake kit, Cobra R 18's with Nitto's, Roush Springs, Tokico struts, Steeda caster camber plates, Cobra front and rear bumper, cobra badges, K&N intake.

.....so is it worth it trading all of my stock parts plus a little cash for it??

yea dude that would be pretty cool!!!

BlitzStyrke 05-11-2006 02:36 PM

If I was in your shoes I would do it. If you like those parts then it should be worth it.

Lances03SVT 05-11-2006 02:37 PM

What are you waiting for??????????

jjtgiants 05-11-2006 02:44 PM

Do it except PLEASE don't put the cobra badges, Cobra rear bumper and Cobra R wing on a GT.....just my 2 cents.

Mug11 05-11-2006 03:01 PM

all but the wing....

FritoBandito 05-11-2006 03:05 PM

Why does he want a bone stock GT. I swore I was gonna keep mine stock when I brought it home,,,,,but that ended later that week - Thanks mustangtuning!;)

Badfish 05-11-2006 03:08 PM

NO on cobra badges

madmatt 05-11-2006 03:16 PM

Sounds like a great deal, but what if you go to sell it and have no stock parts? Just something to think about, were I you, Id look for some great deals on used stock bumpers and stuff, because I know for a fact you can make a lot more selling parts then your car, than you can by just selling the car WITH the parts.

To he!! with worryn' about your stock parts on a resale. Your never gonna get what you put in/paid for it. Do it before he changes his mind. :devil2:

MattJ 05-11-2006 06:52 PM

switch!!!

TEXASPAUL 05-11-2006 07:27 PM

def do it!!!!
cept dont put one the badges, wing, or rear bumper...less you fill it.....

smg32208 05-11-2006 08:07 PM

if you dont do it yr an idiot

Blk02stang 05-12-2006 06:05 AM

I'm def. all go for doing it, except i'm probably not gonna put the wing on or the fender badges seeing that i'de like to keep the 40th annv ones. Seeing the way his car sits now it grabs alot of attention and no one will mess with it thinking it's a cobra. Hopefully the boy who wants to buy my buddies car doesnt back down.

Rabbit 05-12-2006 06:20 AM

I'd do it!

cigrafix 05-12-2006 02:13 PM

do it all but the badges! :punk:

ha ha ha....that's funny. I honestly don't mean to sound like an azz.....But, miss badging is wrong.....you don't put cobra badges on a car that's not a cobra! I don't have many pet peeves about cars cause everyone has their own taste, but that's just inexcusable. Don't pass your car off as something it's not. :nono:

RedFirevert04GT 05-12-2006 06:42 PM

doit. doit. do it.

screw the badges though, let the car speak for itself, badges mean diddly squat anyway.

Blk02stang 05-13-2006 04:48 PM

Yea deep down the car is still a GT but still handed out ALOT of "L's" to true Cobra's and they were suprised when they found it was just a GT deep down on a 150-shot.....making right at 400HP and 522ft-lbs trq!
