Im looking into purchasing another vehicle come September for a winter beater and also a gas saver. I AM NOT SELLING MY CAR! I dont give a rats ass what it looks like as long as it'll be reliable, but thats for me to look into and check out.

That's what I figured as far as Honda and Toyota. Are any years better than others? Again, this is just a beater car, IDC about HP, looks, anything... just something with good gas mileage and fairly reliable.

how much money are u guna fork down for this car? and how often are you guna drive it... don't be silly in tryin to think your guna be able to just by a beater car and it'll save you money, if you spend more then 5 grand it won't be worth it... ur not guna run through that much gas in 6 months...

No, I totally understand that. I plan on spending around about 2000-2500.
I've found some VW Jetta's and Golf's in my area that look to be in good shape and such, selling for under 2500. They just have a lot of miles. Both these car get around 35MPG city and 45 highway.

Both are 98's 97's I believe.

Also come winter, I would take the stang off insurance, so I would save a little money there.

If you want reliability VW is not the way to go. I would go with either a Corolla or Civic, no question about it. Change the oil and you will see 250K miles.

well after a little looking into it. I'll prolly just wait another 2 years or so. By that time I'll have my career going and a steady and good income. Then I'll just by a new or slightly used car as my dd, maybe something like a Civic Hybrid. The stang would be able to be what I really want it to be... a weekend/evening cruising car and a show car.
