http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...hItemId=119489

tell me what u think

Zaff03GT 03-14-2006 05:23 PM

just curious, why do people buy new seats. They seem like they are really only necessary if you are gonna race on a road course but i have no idea. I think the stock ones are pretty comfortable.

Icefreezen 03-14-2006 05:25 PM

One they keep you in place better and 2 you have any idea how much the stock seats weigh.....well if you have all the power crap on them they weigh a lot. I want some of those bad

PureStang 03-14-2006 05:29 PM

are these good seats...if they arent..then ill just fork over the 150 more to get corbeau c1 seats

Ask me the same question when youve been in a mustang with normal seats compared to a mustang with aftermarket seats.

Those seem to be greatly priced! I wouldnt mind a pair.

Zaff03GT 03-14-2006 05:41 PM

Im not saying that getting new seats is a bad idea. I just dont know anything about them nor have i sat in aftermarket seats

01GTBlown 03-14-2006 05:48 PM

They look like pretty good seats to me, but i wonder if the brackets will work?

Well ill give you an idea... Our seats suck ass compared to something that is going to hold you in. When you have aftermarket seats that hold you in, instead of slide you around like OEM seats, you are able to feel out your car and know more what its able to do and not because you arent fighting to stay up or hold yourself and steer at the same time.

Zaff03GT 03-14-2006 05:53 PM

that makes sense to me

:stupid: and thats the main reason im getting them...plus it will be easier to feel ur car even more when the suspension comes

your not very car oriented are you.......by being kept still in your seat you have more control and have a better feel of the car.

Do you think the corbeau brackets would work...

GREG@94GT 03-14-2006 06:36 PM

i like the stock seats too...

i dont care if they are heavy or there are more comfy ones out there... i just like em...

same thing with steering wheels n stuff... i would never buy a new steering wheel... that has always blown my mind why people buy those...

corbeau uses their own brakets, and so does sparco i believe. So youd pay to hack into those too. Id check out ebay for new seat sliders.

+1

If there's any interior mod out there that SCREAMS aftermarket, it's seats. They all look SOOOOOOOOOO tacky and out of place. I LOVE my stock seats and only want new stock ones because mine are worn.
