Eibach Prokit, W/ Mach1 truts/shocks!

I have finally come to my FINAL descision on what products to use when lowering my car! And imma save some $$$ doing it.
I have decided on the Eibach Pro-Kit, Mach 1 struts/shocks package.

YAY.
now...does anyone think I will need Spring Isolators? my car has 46,000 miles on it. At Maximum Motorssports, it says that u should get em whenever swicthing to new springs......

any thoughts?

not to mess up your decision but why the mach 1 struts and shocks? they are not made for a lowered car. the bullits would be a much better choice. are the mach 1's that much cheaper? if it's not a big difference then just get the bullit stuff.

And why would www.stangmods.com put those springs to be pared up with Mach 1 shocks/struts as a PACKAGE if they are not for lowered cars? wtf? lol

well....where can I get Bullittt struts/shocks? the www.stangsuspension.com is not working at all...

whitethunder46 02-18-2006 10:26 AM

mach 1 and bullit shocks and struts are not the same. i have no idea about stangsuspension.com because it hasnt been working for me either. best thing to do imo is call randy and ask him about pricing and the differences about the mach and bullit shocks/struts.

Floppy, seems like you know a lot about this, so question. I've heard that when lowering your car that your tie rod ends or bumpsteer can start squeeking. I just found this out a couple weeks ago. When ever I go bumps especially speed bumps or just a bad road, it sounds like my rear is "squeeking." I thought it was my backseat rubbing the metal bracket for awhile but then realized it wasnt. I don't know how how long the lowering springs have been installed but probably at least 10K miles. Do you think that if I put on new bumpsteers (either Steeda or MM) this will help solve that? If so I'm just going to do this when I installed Shocks/struts.

im not too sure if the bumpsteer kits will solve that, if your car is dropped more than an inch you will probably need new off-set steering rack bushings and/or a new bumpstop (not the same as bumpsteer). you could probably pick up both of those for under $30 and its just added insurance. if you are sure its the tie rod ends (which means its the front of the car) then you could replace the bushings. but if its coming from the rear suspension check to make sure you have the rubber isolators on both the top and bottom of the spring.

Hmmm, ok, it's definately rear. Since I was goin to do quite a few things suspension wise I very well might spend another 50 bux to get all new bushings, isolators, etc.

Someone recommended the tokico HP shocks and struts to me.

They are only $265 shipped on ebay:

how is it that mach 1 struts are not the same as the bullitt? they are both stock 3/4 inch lower than a stock GT. tell me that my mach 1 struts are the same that were in my GT. they were only a 100 bucks shipped so whatever. they were identical to my roommates bullitt shocks and struts. they should be valved the same since the springs hold the weight of the car. the shocks just control the bounce.

whitethunder46 02-18-2006 08:59 PM

See, I don't feel comfortable getting either of these because yes, they're both set up with springs that lower your car .75". My springs lower my car 1.5" inch. I just rather spend the money and get some Billstein's.

Anyone know what the tokico hp's are set up for?
