H&R springs= which struts/shocks?

ok..I know which spring im gonna get (H&R sports springs)
now...I'm trying to decide which set of struts/shocks to get.
I have heard ALOT of good things about Bilstiens. But i dunno if I should get the MM Bilstiens or the regular bilstiens from MT for $599-..?

basically...im looking for the set that deliveres the best comfortable ride.... I dont want it TO stiff...
so which set is for me?

Icefreezen 02-16-2006 09:37 AM

Bilstiens or Tokico IMO

I might go with Tokico when the time comes.

The regular should be fine if your looking for a comfortable ride.

i have the bullit shocks and struts on mine which are tokico and i love em. spent like half as much money as you're planning on spending.

i was at www.maximummotorsports.com

They have Tokico PP (premium performance) struts/shocks for lowered Stangs. Im guessing that those are pretty much the same as the Bullitt Tokico's.. I think I'll just get those with the H&R's.

bullit shocks/ struts are not adjustable. imo they are the best bang for the buck for non adjustable. if you need something adjustable then these are not for you. but most of the people on this board do not frequent a road course or a 1/4 strip enough to need adjustable shocks/struts. if you spend 99 percent of your time on the street just get the bullit shocks/struts.

tockico hp

whitethunder46 02-16-2006 08:41 PM

http://www.stangsuspension.com/store...?idproduct=443

How necessary would that be? Would this help give a better quality ride/performance also? or not worth it?

Could this be used with either the Tokico HP system or Bullitt system? Or should it only be used with Bilstein?

shocks and struts

So basically you can used any regular shock and strut setup on my lowered mustang.. and I don't need the adjustable stuff unless I am going road racing or serious dragging..

Correct. If you're 99% daily driver save yourself some money and don't worry about adjustable.

Cruzang 02-19-2006 02:47 PM

Thanks.. that info will save me a lot of money when it comes to shocks an struts.
