what brand of headers?
 

i am going to get headers for my gt and thinking of putting a catted x pipe...is there any difference between catted x pipes say mac, slp, bassani, and dif. nosie and what do you recommend for headers that are under $500

Only headers you are going to find under 500 are mac and bbk..I am not sure how much hookers are but thats another option

just save a little longer and get the coated SLP's

why they really worth it???? and do all x pipes sound the same???

Personaly I don't know, but I've heard bad things about all of the others, but never heard one bad thing about the SLP's

Headers are really a waste of time and money on a stock Mustang. They do help with a blower and if after-market heads are used.

LT's will net more gains that shorties. In fact, shorties don't show any gains at all unless a power adder is used or with after-market heads.

My hookers ran me at $450...it was a hookup though.. ;) ...they run in the close to the $600 neighborhood.

yea but do headers change the sound of the car. because in the exhaust section that guys thats got the full slp setup... that car sounds insane!!!! like when he shifts low and the camera is outside the car. do u need headers to make that growl or just teh x pipe? here's the link

Wrong. Shorties add 10 at the wheels on any mustang dyno.

get macs, and paint them with 1500 degree paint from wal mart for 5 bucks a can

how come no one told me about 1500 degree paint at walmart?

if i had an auto i would go long tubes becuase i drag race i am going shorties caus ei know i am gonna have to change my clutch out alot more once i get slicks.

I paid my buddy 200 to do min e- haha he was pissed! - BTW 1500 degree paint won't do sh!T.. and ceramic isnt that great either - if want to get xtra performance WRAP YOUR HEADERS!!! - cheap and effective
