front end clunk

I have no idea what is causing a problem I just started having. It seems to be completely random but most of the time when I start my car now there is a sudden loud clunk in the front end a few seconds after I start it up. It doesn't seem to have anything to do with the clutch or anything, I can start it up and without touching a thing it will suddenly make this clunk just once towards the front end. Any ideas? it's a 2004 gt by the way

No idea, I haven't touched the AC in months. It's a bit too loud to just be a vent slapping shut, it's a definite clunk.

it may be ur ac/defroster door (the thing that lets more heat/cold in the vents) opening and closing mine does it more on defrost...warm ur car up...put the defroster on and turn the heat up all the way....if its coming from the passenger side by the floor pan...it that stupid door thing...i have the same problem....its a really big clunk....hopefully thats wat urs is.....it just needs a tune up haha

Yep it's your AC/Heat vent opening up.Mine does it too sometimes.

mine does it all the time...u can feel it shake the floor..hah...gotta get that checked

I had that happen to me once, I had a pulley freezing up. Have someone watch them when u start up , mine eventually blew my fuse to the a/c.thats when i found out what was wrong
