need new clutch

i need some recommendations on a new clutch setup. i dont want to spend a lot (of course nobody does). should just get another stock clutch or is it worth the money to upgrade to a better clutch in the process. any comments from people with the king cobra clutch would be appreciated, as of right now thats what im thinking of buying. i've also heard good things about centerforce clutches but i dont know if they're worth the money.

what year is your car ps?

as per what cluch i have been looking at the centerforce dual friction or a spec stage 2. You can search Modular depot for clutchs and there are alot of threads on ones pepople like and ones people have had problems with.

FRPP King cobra if you have a 10.5 clutch.

the car is an 01. i searched modular depot for "clutch" and didnt find any good results on the first 2 pages so i gave up there. thanks for the help, im trying to keep it relatively cheap so im thinking about getting the king cobra clutch, unless its really worth spending more for another clutch. i just dont see the need to spend money that can go for other mods.

Ive got a King Cobra in my Cobra and its quite nice. Just be sure to break it in before hammering on it :)

go dual friction or spec stage 3, dont even waste your time with the king cobra and lower stage clutches, they handle less power than a D/F or Spec 3. when i was researching my clutch, i remember the King Cobra's rating was like 350 ft/lb at the crank...not very great

I'm in the same boat, about to get a new clutch. Probably gonna go with the Spec stage 2, any higher and it's almost too much for the street. The stage 2 is rated at like 530 ft/lb's, even the stage 1 is 420, they even have a stage 2+, which is rated at 635. My buddy has a King Cobra, and he says it's about the same as stock.

Floppy.........use the force.
I'm partial to centerforce DF, still have to see one of the others move the tires in 5th. after 2 yrs. daily driving and some strip once in a while; and the pedal feel........is like having an hydraulic system installed. Your choice though. GL

The only thing I can tell you is to think ahead for your future, as a clutch job isnt something you want to do multiple times. I myself am sticking with the King Cobra because it will handle a decent amount of power, and Im not planning on forced induction. If you want a blower or some spray, get a Spec 3 or a Mcloud stage 3. Oh, and Ive heard good things bout the Centerforce as well.
