Default aode advise

Hi newbie to this site and need some good advise. The aode tranny in my 95 stang has taken a dump and im really confused as to what tranny to purchase?? Im looking at performance automatic, lentech, or level ten. I like to drag race the car 2 to 3 times a month and am looking for some over kill on the trans so this is the last one that i have to buy. Just lookin to take the car into the 11`s and stop. car has 4.10`s and mild motor mods for now. Plan on doing an all motor stoker in the future 351 to 408 ci. Ive done the rear and suspension as of now and next is the tranny and last will be the motor. car will be a daily driver less than 5000 miles per year and tues nites at the track.. My questions are anyone have any pros or cons as to the tranny companys ive selected and also torque converter advise will be greatly apprieciated. im leaning towards either Performance industries stallion or lentechs 9.5 incher. Looking to bullit proof these componets and get the best performance. i will select a trans with a manual valve body as to remove the electronics from the unit.. Any advise to help is greatly appreiciated

Thanks Larrylass

There is nothing wrong with the trannys you posted. In all honesty though, the 4R70W's built right can take a lot of abuse. Using a 98-newer one for starters is a big help. If you buy a 4R70W for a 2001 5.4 2wd F150 it will be more than adequat....I'm not sure what bellhousing you would need though.

Best advice I could give you is go with synthetic ATF. I prefer Mobil 1 myself.

most 5.4 f150 do not come with the 4r70w. Yes some do but most come with the E4OD also known as the 4r100. dont bother trying to find a 5.4 with a 4r70w its the same tranny as the v6 f150's. also i belive the 5.4 bellhousing wont bolt up to your 5.0 anyhow the 4.2 v6 f150 auto tranny will though as it shares the same bolt pattern.

if it was me i would take the one you have send it out as a core charge to some place, I like the PA 4r70w. and there ya go.
