Transmission

Is it possible to change a 2002 Mustang GT transmission from automatic to manual? If so, about how much would it cost?

I have never seen this one answered, but ive seen it asked many times. gonna have to buy a whole new tranny obviously, which aint cheap. shifter, pedals, labor, way expencive.

best bet is to call a transmission shop, see what they say

Yes it can be done but its very expensive. How much are you willing to pay?

Not even you can go to summit and get a Brand new T-5 for $1,300.....To be honest if you do it the smart way is go to a junk yard find a front clip and just start transfering parts over and get you computer reflashed. The transmisson is a direct bolt on and the drive shaft you can get anywhere if most people are smart they will get a tubular K-member while your doing the swap...theres a lot of approaches you can take here this being the cheapest and easy so you dont have to scavenge everywhere to find the little parts.

-Why do I know this because it's been done and I plan on doing it when I blow up my automatic. Or if I find someone tired of a manual and wants a automatic and we'll just trade trannies.
