Weight issue

Whats the difference in weight in a Manual transmission to a Automatic transmission? Always been curious about this issue.

thats just ridiculous. its not that big of a difference at all. my car weighed in at 3360 pounds with 18's on it.

weight's not a big issue. The big issue in reasons why auto is slower(stock, of course) is bc 1) it has 4 gears and 2) with the required torque converter, it lessens the actual hp to the wheels. So even though its the same engine, there is less power actually being thrown to the ground. Of course, once u get an aftermarket/modified auto tranny, it could kill a manual.

Haha you thought I was being serious?? lol

There is a bit more weight because it has extra parts and so forth, but in the end its going to be the more consistant tranny between the two.
