I Just got this set of MSD wires for my 01 V6. It has straight boots that are multi-angle. How do I go about bending the boots to clear?? They don't feel very flexible and I don't wan't to damage them. Is there a trick to this?

 

Hey Sean, I went to MSD's website and they show bent or angled ends on this wire set, the same pic as AM. They do not show anything in the instructions. I think you need to call AM and see if maybe they just sent you the wrong set.

I dont think you can reshape the booths. Sorry for your luck.

 

Yeah at first I thought they were the wrong ones too, thinking it should have 45 degree angle boots like the oem wires for clearance reasons. I checked a couple places online and the product pictures are all different (some straight, some angled) so I'm not too sure how accurate they are. I'll give MSD a call and see if they can lead me in the right direction. I called AM yesterday and they didn't really have anything to compare mine with to see if in fact they are the wrong ones... I don't wanna send them back quite yet if they really are the ones I need. After calling Summit's tech line yesterday they said they have multi-angle boots and they must be bent to shape.

I found this yesterday too, comparing mine to the picture they seem to be multi angle, but I want to make 100% sure that I have the correct ones before trying.
