fog light issue
 

so i just installed my fog lights and yesterday i smelt this burning smell coming from my car but couldnt figure out where it was coming from well today i had a remote start installed and i started it up and my lights come on with it when its started and when i walked out to my car the passenger fog wasnt on. so i went and checked it out and it was out of the housing burning a hole through the bottom of the bumper. WTF. i had in 55w bulbs could that be the problem? i switched to 37.5w bulbs just now so well see if it gets hot like the 55w bulbs did. but is that the cause or could it be something else?

the 37.5 watt bulbs are still getting very hot and smoking up the housing.. what could be the cause of this i followed the directions provided by vmptuning and they seemed to work fine up until now, i dont get it

What do you have, HID or conventional light bulbs?

I remember when I changed my headlight housings I put the stocker light bulbs back in and I specifically remember me touching one of the light bulbs and it just started smoking when I turned them on, it went dim and then burned out. After that I changed to HID lights. I guess the oil on your hands ruin the bulb on HID's. Not sure about regular lights though, but I still wouldn't touch them.
