Anybody know about it? Sound like an awesome price and good performance, is there something else (major expense) you would need or is it just a normal engine swap? Also what do you guys think about it

i read the guide, thank you i was just wondering about this particular engine, since in the guide it says something about 30 rwhp gain and this engine is rated at 340 HP. Also it only costs 3.5k

Personally I'd go with the Boss 302 with the B cam setup.

The compression on the 306 is what you'd want for boost yet its not forged/built for boost like the 302.

I'd much rather have the Boss 302 and know that I'm pretty much set for whatever I want to do.

true but they are about twice as much and not in my college budget :)

But if you're just doing a swap, why not just save up and have the full build.

Trust me I'm on a college budget too. But to buy a motor, swap it in, and then have to rebuild it later on when I go for higher power (if you ever would) would kind of suck.

true true, but once i get my MBA done and a good job im gonna put a big block in anyway, but till than, because my enigne already has 70k on it and it's my everyday car

well IMO i think that your engine will last you until you get your MBA because I have my stang and it has 180K on it and I haven't had to do anything to it I just changed the oil at the right mileage and stuff like that. the only thing I have had to replace was the plug wires. so I would save up like 08 mustang is saying because there is no need to waste the money.

the thing is that I want more performance, so now i can gain approx. 100hp through new engine (0 milage) or through supercharger kit which costs more makes same hp (approx) and still have old engine. see where im coming from?

Save your cash. The Windsors don't die that young, even with abuse. I'd just buy the top end parts (heads, cams, intake, etc.). Or just rebuild your engine with all new parts, including performance parts. It'll still be cheaper than a brand new crate engine.
