Squeaky noise

Hey guys, a little problem.

I noticed recently when I press my clutch in that there is a squeaky noise, but only when I press it down, not when I let it back up.

I sounds like it is coming from just behind the pedals.

I was curious if this is something I should be worried about. Or if it is something that is just not worth the time/effort/money to fix if it is just an annoying sound that doesn't have an effect on performance.

Thanks for any thoughts guys! Let me know if I can describe it better.

Sounds like the throwout bearing is making a noise

I have the same noise from my clutch pedal. dealership called it " condition normal, likely from throwout bearing rubbing on shift fork. would have to remove to verify."

basically, its normal wear & tear. could be from cable rubbing weird in sleeving, or at firewall. just for grins, check where the cable comes through the firewall for excessive rubbing/wear. also check at pedal where cable connects. a 'lil WD40 might lube it enough to quiet it down if that is problem.
possibly also chances are throwout bearing/clutch starting to show signs of fatigue/failure. again, normal wear & tear. depends on mileage on clutch. if there are alot of miles on it, this could be an indication that you might want to start thinking about a clutch replacement in your near future.

Seeings how you noted its around your feet (even tho the trannys there as well) id suggest checking the cable as it runs into the firewall and see whats going on.

Alright guys I guess I will take a look down there to see if I can find anything.

Also, car has 47k on stock clutch.

Can you hear it when the car is running?
Because if my car isn't running and I push it in, my mechanic said the cable needs to be oiled or something. I did mess up my clutch REALLY bad and it makes that sound almost no matter what. I just don't remember if I heard that sound before or after the clutch mess up.

Its just whenever I push the clutch it. It doesnt matter if the car is on or not.

Then I would believe that would be the Clutch Cable, mine does that too. Now if it's the Throwout bearing, I'm pretty sure it has to be while running. Because mine is REALLY bad and only does it when the car is running. Now that you mention it, it's the cable I'm pretty sure.
