Rear end oil leak

My v6 2000 mustang is leaking oil out of the cover on the rear axle, i know i need to take off the cover re seal and change the oil and clean it but how do i replace the oil in it.

Take all of the bolts out of the rear cover minus the top 1. Get a pan under it and take that last top bolt out slowly. This will let the oil out. Wipe out the rear end with some shop towels to clean it up. Clean off the rear of the housing where the old gasket was. Apply new black RTV sealant and bolt the rear cover back on. Then on the front of the housing on the top driver side near where the driveshaft bolts onto the pinion flange there is a plug with an opening for a 3/8 drive socket wrench. Take it out and fill it up with whatever your manual calls for that rear end and once it comes out the fill hole just put the plug back and your done.

Enjoy the terrible smell of rear end fluid.
