Bama Chips?

Wondering if anyone has bought a tune from these folks? I saw a few people on other forums say they have.

I love how that intro movie completely disses Mustangs. Saying their slow pieces of shit without a tune lmao

Read the tuner vs. chip thread floating around. I believe it's even in this sub-forum.

I would recommend with going with an actual tuner and not simply a chip. That is unless you want to go the cheap ass route and spend more money in the long run.

I actually thought this thread would have some Obama reference in it.... haha

It doesn't matter if you use a chip or a tuner to get tunes they both do the same thing. Problem is that 05+ doesn't have a service port on the ecu so no more chips for those cars. You need a tuner regardless. Also I again can't recommend www.Vmptuning.com enough. I have seen many cars on his dyno make power and do it safely. Not just mouthing bullshit from things I have seen on the net. I have been there and have many friends rocking his tunes and making power.

VMP Tuning user here also.......

What I liked about my tune is the one free re-tune. Once you get the tune from him, you datalog the parameters he tells you to while you do a dynorun, email the info back to him, along with the dyno run, and he'll adjust your tune to ensure that you have the best tune you can, without him actually sitting with you on the dyno.

bamachips is a very reputable tuner though. I know a couple of guys running big power (450hp+) with tunes from them and have never once had a problem. Perfect A/F ratio and all.

I'm pretty sure they have the free tunes as well if I recall correctly.

But, it's all your choice.

yeah, Bamachips is very well known in the S197 community, but I haven't heard a whole lot about their tunes for the 2V engine.

Cool cool. I know everyone has their own opinion on everything when it comes to what they do with the car they own. Just wanted to know how well known they were.

Go with vmp tuning instead.
