Long tub header installation
Well im thinking about putting BBk long tub headers on my 07 GT. What I need is some one to tell me if I can handle the job myself. I just finish putting a set of JBA shortys on my 04 gmc truck. So I know is going to be a slow process. Will I have to disconnect the motor mounts and jack up the motor? Will I be able to use the factory bolts, nuts on the new headers?

Gotta jack up the motor on the driver side I know.....It all depends on how much of a PITA you want it to be. I installed a set of Kooks on my buddies 09 and we had to pull everything apart to get them on.
Good luck though!! Post up some sound bits afterwards. |
the bad thing about new cars, so much junk in the engine, no space left for anything. especially true for 2005 and newer. get a friend, a jack, and stuff to disconnect the motor mounts. you want space so you can loosen the stock manifolds, and take your time.

MY 96 had tons of room in it and now my 99 still has some room, less bullshit electronics the better, who needs to be warned their tires are low anyway, you can feel and see for yourself.
