2.73 gears to 4.10 gears
Just wondering about how much tenths of a second will 4.10 gears shave off of your ET if you are going from 2.73 gears to 4.10 gears with t-lok.
thanx |

your going turbo right? i wouldnt go higher than 3.27's to be honest. i see cobra guys around here dropping from 3.55 to 3.27 or 3.04 (or something to that effect). w/ 4.10, you wont allow the turbo to boost fully in the lower gears
|
yes im going to be boosted sometime in the beginning of next year...
Im buying a 8.8 rearend off of a 95 gt...anyone know what kind of gears those come with? i think 3.08's or 3.27's |
2.73's.
|
would 3.73's be fine then?
or even 3.55's |
FWIW, I have a 99GT w/5 speed, it came with 3.27 gears (or something close) I went to 3.55s and actually picked up 1-2 mpg on the highway to 23mpg. This was with a Kenne Bell at 6psi. I drove it 1200 miles through the Smokey Mountains so it was working hard.
I'd stick with the 3.55 to 3.73s. |
ya ive heard that mostly boosted V6's go with 3.55's

na im only going to run 8psi

I would rock 3.27 gears or at the max 3.55's with a turbo setup. You want the motor to have a load on it with the higher gear ratio so it will build up boost.
