Question New clutch slipping

I have a 02 GT and I just replaced my clutch because I thought the original one was slipping.

Purchased RAM HDX Clutch kit and the Clutch Adjuster Kit with new cable, and clutch adjuster etc.

With my traction control on I can hit about 4,000+ RPM's (in 4th gear mostly) and the traction control lite will come on and the engine hesitates (like it supposed to) I tried it with traction off and I felt the clutch slip momentarily.

The clutch feels normal and I can hit the gas and stress out the clutch and it show no signs of slipping.

Also I can touch the clutch peddle while driving and feel the engine/transmission vibrations. I don't remember that happening on the stock clutch. I had a mechanic install it and I trust him but I'm not sure about this one. The new clutch adjuster is on the firewall and he set it so the release point is near the bottom of the clutch peddle so no complaints there. I just know that the whole reason I replaced the clutch is I could make it fail at high RPM's and thought it was getting thin.

When he showed me my old clutch he said it didn't look that bad and said I could have probably got another 30k out of it.

All parts purchased at http://www.americanmuscle.com
I'm confused.

take to another mechanic and see if he installed everything correctly, reason my clutch was shot when i first got mine was because a few bolts werent tightened on the pressure plate and it destroyed the clutch plate.

Couple of things:
1. Are you romping w/o breaking the clutch in? If so, time to install a new disc as you probably glazed it.
2. Check to see if the cable was adjusted right. It may be too tight.
Ram makes great clutches, and a HDX kit shouldn't be slipping unless you have too much power for it. Slipping would then indicate the two causes I listed.

sounds like you have the cable adjusted too tight.

I think it has too much power at 80+ in 4th because if I turn off the traction control I don't feel it slipping, also watching the tach. If the traction control is on I think it is detecting a false tire slippage. It doesn't do it in the lower gear at high RPM. Clutch adjustment seems fine, it's a couple of inches off the floor. Clutch did the same thing with the original but I never noticed it because I ALWAYS used to turn off the traction control.
