Cool 4.0 to 4.6 engine swap

Alright guys, like any gear head I'm always wanting more power!! While the 4.0 does have great potential the 4.6 is always going to have more, duh! So I've been thinking about doing a swap, my 4.0 for a 4.6.

I've found a 4.6 3v for around $1200 and thought that was a pretty sweet deal. What else am I going to need, I know the ecu, rear end, tranny, etc.

If ya'll could just write up a list for what I would need and general cost. It's for a 2005 btw.

you would need engine of course, engine wiring harness, tranny, tranny wiring harness, ecu, suspension(not positive), possibly a different driveshaft, a gt rear end(I dont think this is mandatory), radiator, and a few other things that I didnt have to because I swapped the same engines.

I just did a similiar swap. An entire swap 1999 gt to a 1999 gt. One was wrecked with low miles so I bought another with a ton of miles for the shell. It took 3 days to swap rear end, suspension, engine, tranny, along with the harnesses. I had to custom cut the hole where the shifter comes through the floor since I put my manual transmission into an automatic car. I also swapped out the entire interior which took a few days because the dash is a pain in the ***.

Actually, I just found a 2003 gt, salvaged car, but engine, tranny, etc still runs good. Would this be possible to do an engine swap with this 2003 to my 2005 or not? What extra parts would I need? The same as swapping an 05+ GT to my sixxer? Would this be logical as seeing the '03 was only putting down, I believe 260 hp.

That's what I was thinking, not even worth it :P oh well. Think I might just sell the sixxer and buy this Cobra I was looking at 1999 Cobra svt w/56,500 miles for $10,800. What you think?

id prob go that route, the newer mustangs way to much and there is not a big enough power difference to justify the swap
