Beeping noise when I start the car
Whenever I start my car, I get a beeping noise.
Its 3 beeps, then a pause, then starts up again. I think it does this 5 times then stops. Sounds just like a seat belt reminder tone, but goes off even if the seatbelts are buckled. Also, after I'm driving for a while (Usually like a half hour or so), it randomly happens again. I feel like it must be the seat belt alarm thing, because there isnt another one that goes off when I dont buckle up, and everyone who has heard it says thats what it sounds identical to. Anything I can do about this? |
If there is a fuse for the seatbelt dinger thing, remove it.
|
Do you know how I could tell what one is for the seat belt dinger? And how would I know if its only for the seat belt dinger?
When I bought the car the fuse box didn't have the original fuse box lid, but here's a picture of it if that helps. http://i43.tinypic.com/155h3xd.jpg Keep in mind I know nothing about the fuse box. |
The warning chime fuse is also the same fuse as some other parts of the instrument cluster. I wouldn't remove it. If you still want to, it's not in the engine bay fuse box, but the cabin one.
|
So if I removed it the other things in the cluster wouldnt work either?
That beat... I guess I'll have to deal with the sound. |
There may be a sensor or something that is broken.
