Replace the belt and make sure all your pullies are in good condition. Also, does it squeal non-stop or just until the engine warms up?
|
For a quick fix take a crayon and hold it on the belt with pliers while the motor runs to coat it with wax to make the noise stop for awhile. Of course I should not have to say this but I will, be careful when you do this.

non stop and low rmp only....cant hear it once it revvs a little.

sounds stupid but believe me it works and won't squeak for a long time. Take some RTV silicone and smear it on both sides of the belt, start vehicle and enjoy your non squeaking belt. Of course I suggest still replacing the belt or checking the pulleys later.

I'm being lazy on replacing my fan belt. I kind of want to take out my AC, but then again I don't.

NO it does not work as well at all. A regular old crayon works great just start the motor and hold it against the belt so it puts a light coat on it and the noise will stop.
