4.6 or 5.0 H.O swap?
ive been asking around shops and i foudn a shop that is willing to do a 5.0 H.O swap for me(they reccomended it). what would be a best swap? 4.6 swap in or a 5.0 H.O.

personaly i am not sure which would work better for you i have heard though from my buddy with a v6 that it is easier to drop a 302 in apposed to the 281, but i dont know why, i myself would rather have the 281 if you can, but either way im sure you would have to change out alot of other parts on ur car ex. drivetrain parts

supercharge your 6.

you wont be able to pass emmissions. your putting an older model engine into a newer model car.
the only exception to the rule is the S351 saleen mustang. that had a 331 (stroked and bored 302 pushrod) in a 1999 car. |

no... most states just don't allow such things. You need to look at the modular engines if you want to keep it a street car. Either swap is going to be extensive and expensive. I'd think about selling the v6 and buying a gt... that's the best route to your goal.

I dont think this guy will ever be happy with his car personally, or just likes throwing money around

your giving him to much credit, he will then want one of those smart cars to make him look smarter!

Screw that get a turbo kit for the v6 those motors are tuff as nails and can hold alot of power stock. Dont bother wasting cash on a motor swap when for the same amount that Im sure they will charge you, you could of gotten a turbo kit and push near 400rwhp with your stock motor and fuel upgrades.

If your actually considering this it better have some sick H/C/I. If your really thinking of putting in a stock 4.6 SOHC then thats ridiculous. They are slow as shit in stock form.

so, v6mustangpower, i'm going back up to manchester this sunday. if you want to ride in a slow stock 4.6, i can take you in mine and show you that you will not be happy. if not, i'd love to see your ride. it looks sweet! what happened to the roush front you had though? |

i'm pretty sure any GT owner will tell you at first they loved it. then they craved more. and personally, with 6'ers and 4 bangers upping there hp, i find myself left behind a lot.

yea whoever it was that said something bout when you first get ur gt you think its fast but them quickly realize you want more was totally correct, i just got my 01 gt a few months ago and the first few weeks i felt like it was a beast but now it seems a bit slow actually so if you have that kind of money just go with a turbo or supercharger, i on the other hand have to stick with cheaper bolt on mods for now
