Need a new clutch
Well my throw out bearing went out so, I'm going to go ahead and replace the clutch. What would be the best clutch for a 2003 GT with a 100 shot. I go the track once a month, and need something that will hold up. I don't mind if it is a stiff clutch, since I don't deal with much traffic
Here are the ones I'm looking at http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/...0%201&comp=LRS http://www.americanmuscle.com/fidanz...v8-clutch.html http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/...0%201&comp=LRS |
Centerforce Dual Friction.

I would go spec stage 2 or centerforce dual friction. I have the Spec stage 2 and its a good street/strip clutch.

I will be getting the Fidanza 2.1 when mine goes. My throw out bearing has been chattering for 2 months. I talked with a guy on a different forum who has it and he really likes it. He said that his installer was even surprised with the quality of it. The other ones I was considering, and you could look into, would be a Spec Stage 2 (I heard that are they hit or miss on if they are going to chatter or not), Centerforce Dual Friction, and McLeod. I like Centerforce and McLeod, but I think both are over $400. The Spec 2 is like $330, and the Fidanza 2.1 is $280. The RAM clutches look good, but I haven't really heard people recommending them. I would give the Fidanza a try, unless you plan on being over 450-500 ft. lbs. of torque. |
Stage 2 Spec. Holds good and can still drive it around without your leg falling off. CenterForce is very good but a little more pricey.
Make sure you resurface your flywheel, this is a must !!!!! |
