1973 Mustang Mach 1
 

Looking to buy a 1973 Mach 1 Mustang as a project car. It has a 302 in it. Just wondering what kind of transmission is in the car, and if necessary, would a t5 work in the car?

well, just talked to the guy. he says its a C-4 automatic. still, would the t5 fit?

Yep, still a SBF bellhousing bolt pattern, a couple places make the conversion kits but, the big issues that come to mind are crossmember and driveshaft. Oh and uh maybe cutting a hole in the floor ;)

Can't forget the clutch pedal that in my mind would be a trouble some piece of the install.

Just have to watch eBay for the whole clutch assembly, and I'd forget the original linkage style and go with the later cable style, it takes alittle modification but if you dont want to, you can always pay for the kit.
