Reprograming for gear swap!!!!

Has anyone had a problem with their speedo not correcting after a gear swap?? I replaced the stock gears with 4.10's:beerbang: I tried to use my Diablo sport Preditor to correct for the new gear size, but it's still not working right. I have aftermarket Simco white faced gauges and don't know if this would have something to do with it. Please help!!!!

What tire and wheel size are you using? Are you sure you made the update with the predator to 4.10? Maybe fat-fingered the selector.

How far off is your speedo?

I have the stock wheels and tires (245/45/17)...I tried it three times now. It's off quite a bit. It says im going 15mph when im prob doing around 45-50mph. Do you think the aftermarket gauges would have anything to do with this??

you got something broken. Get thee to a wrench.

Any ideas on what it might be?? I had them professionally installed. You think they f...ed something up?? The guy does hundreds of these, I hate to accuse him of screwing up my car unless if I'm sure its not my programer or my ecu or something.

Maybe you just Stripped the speedo gear. Most of the time if you move from a higher gear(3.55) to a shorter gear(4.10) your speedo would read faster than your going. I.E 45 might read as 55 or 60.

What year is the car?

it does have a speed sensor. it's possible (though pretty uncommon) that it's gone bad. if that's the case you should be able to pull a code. Could also be a bad ground to the cluster.
