Hey I just bought the CDC Shaker kit for my 03 GT and was wondering if anyone has installed one before??? Do you think it can be done at home in the driveway or should I pay for the shop to put it in...the only thing that looks kinda sketchy is the cutting of the hood.

it wont fit. it can be MADE to fit, this guy did exactly that, used a CDC shaker with a stock mach1 hood. http://mustangboards.com/reference-s...1-hood-v6.html honestly, the effort involved looks to be more of a pain in the ass than just cutting the stock hood. www.Karkraft.com offers a FRPP shaker setup with a bracked to fit it on the 2valve v8's and that WILL work with a stock hood, that is the setup im running. |

easier just to cut a hold in the stock hood IMO i really wanted to use a mach1 hood, it sticks up higher and looks better than the plastic piece in my view, so thats why i bought the karkraft setup. As for performance, yeah i feel a little more getup and go on the highway, but that is really it. More than anything it just looks cool as shit. |
