pedal placement

I think ive heard somewhere that the brake and the clutch pedals are supposed to be placed at the same height. My clutch is about 2 inches higher or longer than my break pedal which makes it extremely long. My brothers (same year mustang) clutch is about 2 inches under his brake pedal. I cant stand how long it is it makes my shift much longer than they should be. What can i do to make my clutch shorter?

Is the steeda or maximum motorsports clutch quadrants or firewall adjusters what I need to shorten up my clutch?

Steeda offers a quick release setup that makes it move the clutch faster in and out.

when faster u mean shorter correct? Because i prob have to push my pedal in about 12" to completely engage it:mad:

Is that what the clutch quadrant things do? I've always wondered what it benifits are of thoes things. But if it helps engage and disengage the clutch I might need to buy one. I was thinking today that I need to raise my gas pedal.

I have the MM clutch height adjuster (along with the quadrant and adjuster)...

it's a great part and makes shifting a lot easier...my knee no longer as to bend out past the steering wheel :D

bassman97 03-25-2008 07:38 PM

Yes and in fact, that's all that MM recommends.
