05 driver window messed up

I gotta 2005 mustang gt coupe. I disconnected the battery while hooking up the new headlights and foglights and other misc....over the course of maybe 2 hours, and hooked all back up and now the driver side window has a mind of its own...it will not seal it self when all the way up. and if you try to just roll it up all the way, it automaticly drops down about 3/4 of the way and stops, if you baby step it to the top it will stay but it still wont seal itself so theres a gap, why would it do this all of a sudden after the power had been disconnected and the hooked back up?

so I guess u just ran out of warranty?

there may be an initialization procedure for the window. the Bimmers I work on have one, and when you disconnect the batt you have to re-initialize the windows or they will do similar to what you described. I'd check your owner's manual first for an initialization procedure.

My instinct was that ther might be an initialize type situation, I am under warranty till 2012 i think, i payed for the extended, but if it is just a easy step process thats good. I dont have the owners manual to my car though :( so i know someones got one handy on here. can someone please look and see about the windows situation that i have. THANKS

I remember reading about this in my manual for my 06. Give yours a read through and there should be a section that says how you can get the windows to drop down and seal up properly again if they get unadjusted.

Here is a link to the ownsers manual. Go to page 46. It will tell you how to re calibrate the window

I tryed all this 2 second calibration talk that they say in the manual but it doesnt seem to do anything, Im not really able to use the express up and then hold for 2 sec. cause when it gets to the top it just rolls back down automaticly till about 1/4 of the window is showing, also i notice compared to the passenger window, is that when its rolled down all the way, the driver side is still showing the top of the glass where the rubber seal is, as in the passenger side it is going all the way down where you cant see it anymore...and as im sittin there playing with it, it seems the driver side is starting to not work now that ive been going up and down with it tryin to calibrate...looks like i gotta take it to the shop and get it fixed.....I have Toyotas extended service plan through my dealer, do you think the warrenty covers little malfunctions like this??? my luck says no :P

Your warranty should cover this without any issues.
