Tie Rods???
 

My steering is very sloppy. It wil start to drift and pull both right and left intermittently. I have new tires on the car, the rack is not leaking, and alignment has been done- STILL DRIFTS AND PULLS!!! If im at a stand still and turn the steering wheel from right to left quickly there is a noise (very soft poping). Could the tie rods be the final answer?? I know the bump steer kit would fix it if it is, but why fix something if its not broken???

it very well could be.. i know mine are bad, but not that bad... what i would do to really see...

lift up the front end of your car to where the front tires are off the ground.. one at a time see if it will more left and right and how much.... if there is alot of slack it will most likely be your tie rods,

if you need to buy some you can get the ones at autozone (or the parts store of your choice) and use those...

oh BTW this should be in the suspension section... just to let you know...

I wouldn't trust the stuff from Autozone even if I got them for free. Get the rods either from the dealer or the Moog pieces (Carquest sells the Moog stuff w/ their name on it). Plus, w/ the Moog pieces, they're greaseable.

i got the duralast stuff... it has a life time warrenty.. so its not too bad.

Warranties mean jack. All it is now is a sales gimmick. There's a reason why junk batteries come w/ longer warranties vs. reputable batteries since the warranties trick people into thinking it is actually good.

well then it will sound great to the person i sell it to.. once i pay off this one... then i will go and get a manual vert...
