The Wonderful T3650

Anyone else having problems with their syncros...I'll be having my tranny worked on here be4 drag season...Don't know anything about the syncros except for their prone to failing on the 3650's. Are there parts I can upgrade to so this doesn't happen again 3 years down the road. This is costing me nearly a grand!!! Please help

The syncro's for the 3650's are expensive compared to the T45's $250 carbons. I think the going rate on the 3650's are around $650.

Exactly! Ford spent over $1,000 on my 3650 to replace the syncros with upgraded (beefed up) syncros. I have an 03 Mach1. I was shifting from 2nd to third at any RPM over 5 grand, and it would not go into 3rd. It felt like I was hitting a brick wall. So, along with the new syncronizers, I also replaced the shifter with a Steeda Tri-X and had a beefed up clutch put in. She shifts like a dream now. Just slap it straight up and the shifter guides it right into 3rd. I feel your pain. Get 'er dun.......
