Default Radar question

ok, i want to hardwire my detector in the car but i wanted to put it under the radio. would a normal infared extension work? if i just put one on the front window and one on the back and wire them to the detector? ? maybe a dumb question but i have no idea about those things, thanks!

no... that's not gunna do it. One is for detecting laser, that's a different spectrum than radar. Radar is like radio... nothing to do with light on the surface or in the detection.

A buddy of mine has his hard wired directly above his sun visor on the drivers side, and then has the cable hard wired all the way down to his cigarette lighter power and then its on all the time when the car is on.

totally depends what your local pd uses ( band wise) cause some just dont pick up at all, luckily for me the jersey state troopers are picked up pretty quick, thank god.

yeah I think they use like the 360degree radar detection mounted on there vehicles to pick up drivers, about freaked me out one time when I saw one of them doing circles looking for speeders to the front and rear of them.

I was like oh my dayummmnnn!
