Cobra S/C for 04 GT

How difficult would it be to put a cobra s/c on my GT, also could I put cobra 4v heads on it? Just switched from a camaro SS and dont know much about mustangs. Any Ideas?

Putting a Cobra blower on a GT would be possible, but in the end it would cost so much money to do it, its not really worth it. You would be much better off buying a kit from Kenne Belle or Vortech. 4V heads will fit on a 2V motor, but that also would be very expensive. The basic parts arent too much, but its all the little stuff that will add up. I believe you also lose like 1 full point of compression. If you want to go the 4V route a much better bet is to just find and swap in an entire engine. The best ones to look for are Mach1/Aviator/Maruarder 4.6's, they are all the same except for the intake. The swap seems pretty straight forward, you will need to lengthen the coil pack wires from your current GT harness to fit the 4V engine. You will also need to have a chip burned for your new combo once its up and running. Check out http://www.cobrapoweredgt.com/ for some good info on the swap...

Thanks for the info... somebody had told me the could get me an 03 cobra s/c for 500 dollars. I did research on the Kenne Belle S/C and think I will go with it.

My buddy told me I could have the Eaton off his 03 for Cobra for free. Needless to say I did alot of research to see if there was any possible way to make it work..

You have to get the 03 heads I believe to put the blower on, and those heads, are quite pricey to get. Just go with the Kenne Bell like stated above.
