So, a week or two ago I get a knocking sound coming from my car. I'm thinking oh crap, the motor is going on me, but noticed it sounded like it was coming from the transmission. Pressed the clutch in, the knocking stopped. Buddy of mine who owns a performance shop said I need a new clutch kit. So, bought a new king cobra clutch kit (clutch, pressure plate, T/O bearing), had him put it in. Just noticed the knocking is back again after getting the car back today. The sound again goes away when the clutch pedal is pressed in. Any ideas on what this could be?

does it knock constantly or just when you push the gas pedal down? does the stick jump around more than normal while makin the knock sound? might just be a bad tranny mount

sounds like a rock rattling around inside the trans. Only does it idle with the car in neutral. Goes away when I press the clutch in. I have a new tranny mount so it shouldn't be that.
