Default 302 roller motor

just wondering if a solid cam can be put into a roller motor? thanks

With stronger valve springs,I would think it could be done but why? You could just get an old non-roller 302 block to use that's stronger (and cheaper)

Exclamation 302 roller motor

i bought a 1991 ho long block that is 30 over cast heads that were freshend up and forged internals... he put a solid cam in it... what cam would u recommend for it? and should i use different heads? if so what ones? thanks

It's better to use the roller block so you can use a mechanical roller cam w/o adaptors. Just remember though, you need to get a good set of rockers, pushrods, and springs as well as an adjustable valvetrain. And lastly, be prepared to adjust your valve lash regularly.

what setup would u suggest for this motor? heads? cam? springs? pushrods? and rockers?
