I know visually long tube headers and off road pipe won't pass. what if I put the cats back on, do you think I will blow clean with the longtubes? Just wondering, but I found someone that will pass me either way.

I dont think headers effect emissions because the stock manifolds dont have any exhaust cleaning properties either.

technically, your exhaust cant be modified from factory from in any way. but if you have cats, thats what they look for.

here... they'll fail you for anything. 1 set of good high efficiency cats should let you blow clean as long as your tune is right it should be ok. If you're worried, slap in a second set.

well I'm not worried either way cause I found a guy that will pass me. It's just a matter if I can get it to blow clean it will be cheaper, or if it won't blow clean it will cost me more. Just wanted to make sure that if everything is right I can still blow clean with headers. I'll let you know how this guy is in a week or two just in case you come into smog issues down the road with the 5.4.
