Mach 1 Chin Spoiler

So I figured I would buy one and install it next week probably. Quick question though I've heard a few people say not to use the fasteners that come with the kits and to just use regular nuts and bolts. Some people say that the fasteners that come with it leave gaps and can come lose easily. Any personal experiences with the fasteners that come with the kit?

did my roommates car with the push pins like ford does and they aren't going anywhere at all. I did use 2 bolts on the front just to make sure people could not steal it.

I've been known to go a bit fast when the chance presents itself... I used screws and the little push-pin dealies in alternating fashion.

I personally used nuts and bolts with washers on mine. Like 4 of the fasteners broke while installing it plus I was short one. The plastic fasteners didn't fit snug on mine and it left gaps too. I was also afraid of somebody stealing it.

I used double sided tape and i accidently would park it to close to a curb and bend it underneath and it would be fine when i pulled away. Strong doubled sided tape.

I tried the plastic push pins that came with mine and they didn't hold it snug at all. Threw them away and went to Lowes and got some nylon 1/4"x20 nuts and bolts. Worked perfectly.
