2001 Mustang Gt Bumper Install

Has anyone every replaced there front bumper and rear bumper? If so, how easy is it to do? How long does it take? What all what I need? And lastly, does anyone have any diagrams? I looking to replace bumpers, I going back with either the stock gt bumper, or the 03 cobra. As far as the rear Im going to stick with stock gt. A body shop as quoted me $600 buck to paint and install my bumpers. I was hoping that I can buy my own and have them painted and install them myself. There dosent look like ther is much to it. So if anyone has done this before or has diagrams please share.

Well FYI you have to pre fit the bumpers before your painted as some "tweaking" might need to be done to have it look good.

it takes about 5-10 minutes to remove and install a front bumper.....

yeah i know, but they are charging me for removing the bumpers. so if I can take them off myself i would much rather do that only if its price effective. If im only going to be saving 50 or 50 dollars then i would let them do it. So five mins. are you serious? I guess i need to look for a diagram on how to take it off. Thank you both for the help

not worth your time at least if you pay them they have to get it right.... plus sometimes it can be a bitch to get everything lined up right, if its your first time... as for what you need to do it your self... they sell a tool to pop out the push pins, which will keep you from breaking them and having to buy new ones, other than that a socket set and a little time and you'll be fine... its not rocket science, but in my opinion your already paying them so whats an extra 50 or 100 bucks to get it lookin perfect instead of good

Theres no aligning to do....The bumper will only go on one way. It has tabs on it that line it up for you when you slide it back on. Also to remove it, there are 6 fasteners and 4 nuts you must remove. It seriously is extremely easy and takes like 5 minutes. First you just remove the headlights which takes under 30 seconds at best.....Definately not worth paying someone else to do it.
