I have a 05 Gt myself and I am thinking of going w/ the C&L CAI and the sniper special forces tuner. Mainly b/c I own 2 mustangs (2000 gt) and this tuner can tune two seperate cars!!! I have a friend that has the K&N CAI and the diablo tuner. He has no problems with it. The combo you are thinking about should be fine espically when u go and get it dyno tuned. The dyno tune will just be alittle more specific to how your car reacts to the CAI and give you a better result.

+1 on the dyno tune, especially since you have other exhaust mods. I'm assuming the Tuner and CAI combo corrects the A/F ratio due to the 3 valve engine being really sensitive to adjustments....however, I'm also assuming the tuner probably leans out the A/F ratio to a safe level and bumps the timing up a bit in order to gain the power claimed.....that's pretty much how the tuners produce power.

Anyway, since you have exhaust and X pipe your A/F is probably already a bit leaner than when stock, so in order to get it all right you might want to tell the company you get the tuner from that you have other mods so they can "guess" on the tune they send you. This happened to me. I had a "canned" tune from Diablo, added exhaust mods and CAI, took it to my tuner and he loaded the Diablo tune and it was so lean that he had to cut off the dyno pull and adjust it so it would be safe.

When you get the tuner, take it to your local tuner and just have them check the A/F and if it's off have them adjust your tune in order to be safe. They will be able to do this by using the tuner you purchased.

MAKE SURE you check with your local tuners to see what software they are using....SCT or Diablo before you purchase a tuner...if you purchase SCT and the tuners in your area use Diablo your going to be pissed in the long run.
