Here's a recommendation..

1. Post in the right section of the forum.
2. Use the little search button.. See it? Up there? ^ No, no.. To the right.. Yup.. There ya go!
3. I think gears are good for a car.. They usually help it move.. & stuff..

One of the best thing's you can do for your car is change the gear's.

Gears are horrible for your car.

Yup, I agree.. You should make sure your blinker fluid is full though.

the gear thread will answer all of your questions. its a long read but what your asking has been answered numerous times.....

gears are a sort of expensive mod. 200 for gears 200-250 for install (typically) 300-400 for a tuner so you can correct the speedo. for the 05+ GT's you mine as well get a CAI with a tuner.

so if you want to stack miles on your car faster without a tuner than do the gears.

i run 3.73 in my fox. with about a 26" tall wheel/tire package. because the gears help, the motor barely works just tooling around town. so i get 20 mixed, and about 24 on the interstate cruising at 70-75 mpg turning 2500-2750 rpm.

does just fine, i can comfortly be doing 35mph in 5th gear in a cammed 5.0 that makes not much torque...
