Default Drivers Side Power Window Not Working

All the sudden both of the switches on my drivers side won't work. The passenger side window works perfectly. The fuse looks fine, and if the passenger side still works (the switch on the passenger side) then it can't be the fuse. My unlock/lock button works, but the two switches for the windows on my driver side won't work. Ahhhh, any suggestions?

I have had the same problem. The copper contacts on the switch get oxidized and coated with armoral and stuff liek that. I got tired to cleaning mine, so I eventually replaced the switch assembly.

You can pull it out and take it apart. The contacts are a pain in the *** to clean.

hey im having the same problem with my convertiable back windows. Driver side wont let down, and the passenger side will quit working sometimes. So do I need to pull the door bezel off to clean the contact or do i just to to take the buttons off? And what did you us to clean them? I have a 2001 GT

Default thanks!!!!!!

a couple days ago i bought a 02 mustang. today the driver side window just randomly quit working (while rolled down) so i googled it to see if this was a common issue and sure enough i found this link.so i created an account here because i wanted to thank y'all for the help on knowing to hit the door panel by the speaker, it worked first try! just curious to know why hitting it by the speaker? wouldnt the contact tabs be right there by the switch? oh well, thanks again for the info! i just hope more people read this and don't get jew'd by auto shops.

The master switch is the most common switch to go out. http://www.switchdoctor.net 30 day return policy.

People are just mad in here. They don't see the date..simply start posting without even giving a second thought what is actually going on in the thread.

Had my driver side window stop working for several hours today halfway down (2017 convertible). Everything I tried didn’t work, but this... this did it. Hit a couple times, nothing, hit a bit harder and it started working again.
